2. Data collected when visiting the website
2.1 Server log files
When the website is used only for information, we collect only data transmitted by your browser to our server. This can include the page visited, date and time of access, transferred data volume, referrer, browser type, operating system and IP address. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, stable and error-free provision of this website.
2.2 SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. An encrypted connection is indicated by “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser.
3. Hosting and server location
This website and our self-hosted Plausible instance at analytics.noiselevel.de run on a server managed by us at Alfahosting GmbH, Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13–15, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany. To our knowledge, processing takes place on servers within the European Union. A data-processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR has been concluded with the hosting provider.
4. No Google Fonts, no cookies and self-hosted analytics
This website does not load Google Fonts or other external fonts. System fonts are used.
We use a self-hosted, cookie-free Plausible Analytics instance for statistical evaluation. The script is loaded from analytics.noiselevel.de and both the instance and evaluation are operated by us on our Alfahosting server. Page views, referring sources, device and browser categories and events such as started downloads are evaluated in aggregate form.
Plausible sets no cookies and uses neither LocalStorage nor other persistent identifiers for recognition. IP address and user agent are processed only briefly to create a daily changing, non-persistent identifier. Raw data is not stored permanently and there is no cross-website or cross-device tracking.
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is data-minimising reach measurement, technical and editorial improvement of the website and evaluation of demand for free downloads.
5. Local storage in browser tools
Some Noiselevel Digital tools work locally in the browser. Content you create can be stored exclusively in your browser, for example through LocalStorage or IndexedDB. There is no automatic server synchronisation.
6. Free downloads
Direct downloads generally require neither an account nor registration. Technically necessary server data can be processed as described in Section 2. When “Start download” is clicked, Plausible records a “Download” event with product and file names. Merely opening the download dialog is not counted.
7. External services
7.1 Gumroad
Paid products are sold through links to our Gumroad shop. A connection to Gumroad is made only when a shop or purchase link is opened. Ordering, payment and download then take place on Gumroad. Gumroad processes the contact, order, transaction and payment data required for the purchase under its own privacy policy. Information Gumroad sends us is processed for contract performance, product delivery, customer communication and statutory retention duties under Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR. See the Gumroad privacy policy .
7.2 Ko-fi
“Support us” links lead to our external Ko-fi page. A connection is made only when the link is opened. Support and payment processes take place on Ko-fi and through its payment providers. Information received is processed to handle and allocate support and fulfil legal duties under Article 6(1)(b), (c) and, where applicable, (f) GDPR. See the Ko-fi privacy policy .
7.3 Other external links
The website may link to other external services, including separately hosted browser tools. A connection is made only when the link is opened; the provider’s privacy information then applies.
8. Contact
If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle the enquiry. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and, for contractual enquiries, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
9. Rights of data subjects
Subject to statutory requirements, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal of consent, complaint to a supervisory authority and objection to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
10. Retention period
Retention depends on purpose, legal basis and statutory periods. Data is deleted when its purpose ceases or consent is withdrawn, unless legal duties require continued retention.
